High Voltage Kids Ministry

High Voltage Kids Ministry was founded by Brian Dollar in 1998.  What began as a means to teach and train other Children’s Ministry leaders quickly turned into a full-blown effort to provide cutting edge ministry tools to Children’s Ministry leaders around the world.

What sets High Voltage Kids Ministry apart is the fact that we are NOT a “curriculum company”.  We are REAL LIFE Kids Pastors in a local church who create and produce our own videos, object lessons, graphics, illustrations, skits, and more – then we package and release what we use every Sunday on our website.  Whatever products you purchase from High Voltage Kids Ministry have been tested and proven to be 100% effective!

Our KIDS CHURCH CURRICULUM is “Media Rich – Teacher Driven”! In other words, our curriculum includes all the high-tech video, graphics, music, and other media elements that kids love WITHOUT replacing the Kids Pastor/Leader with a DVD player and a screen. We believe that the media elements should ENHANCE your upfront ministry with the kids, not REPLACE it. That’s why over 5,000 church world-wide have tried High Voltage Kids Ministry Resources.

Our materials are “low-prep” and “low-hassle”!  This is why we have Kids Ministry Leaders from every denomination and every church size who are our happy and loyal customers!  Try HVKM out for yourself!  CLICK HERE!  Or check out the video below:

  1. Brian, I love the High Voltage Kids curriculum. Discovered it about 1 year ago and have used it ever since. Kids absolutely love it as well as my other workers in ministry. The cost is very economical and they are so packed with just about all you need for a lesson. Add some music and ready to go. Thanks so much to your gifts and talents and for all you are doing to continue teaching kids the wonderful lessons you all issue in your series. Oh yea, I like that these are in short series. That keep their attention without getting too long and drug out for months. Thanks and God Bless the ministry and all the staff!

    • Machelle – thanks so much for the kind words! You have no idea how blessed we feel to be able to know that what we are producing is helping you do the ministry God has called you to do. Thanks for being so supportive of what High Voltage Kids Ministry is trying to accomplish. God bless!

  2. Brian,
High Voltage is the best curriculum we’ve found. My husband and I had the awesome honor of leading kids ministries at our old church for 6 years. The Lord has led us in a new direction, to a different church who, by the way, is re-vamping their kids ministries. introducing High Voltage to them seems to be an excellent fit and in the right direction, to have an intriguing, creative way to teach God’s Word in a High energy format.

    Thanks SO MUCH!!
keep up the good work, team. Your reward is waiting.

  3. Good Morning Brian,

I love the High Voltage Curriculum. I stumbled upon it last summer when I was in search of something new, fresh, trendy, mult-age, Word-packed (but not to overwhelming for the kids) and economical. Wow! I found that and more in High Voltage. I took the plunge and started using it in October. The multi-media has stretched me, but I love it and best of all our children love it. I am so amazed how they remember the BIG IDEAS and we are starting to get testimonies of how the kids are talking about what they are learning at home.

A big thank you to you AND your team for all their continued hard work.

  4. Is there any way to get sheet music for your songs? I am thinking of using some of your material for a children’s choir and would love to be able to access the printed music too. I am starting with God You’re Good and there is a second vocal part at the end. Thank you.

  5. Dear Pastor Dollar, I am now the Children’s pastor of Cornerstone A of G. My best friend was for many years and she used your curriculum. When I took the job I searched out all kinds of stuffed used some, Faith Case, CMD, ect. Then one Sat. afternoon I needed something quick. I was between leasons. I looked in the attic and found some HV DVD’s I was like I could do this but I would need to get the leason. Then saw the CD Rom. Cool I said let’s try it. The kids loved it. I’m not in any hurry to order new stuff I will use what we have for about a year. My little tech guy has put all three DVD, CD, and CD rom on his commputer and it’s smooth sailing on Sunday. Thank you, Mona Kaye Cape

  6. Does Brian have kids worship dvd’s for sale? I seem to recal him teaching us a song called “I Clap My Hands” at a camp a few years ago that my kids really liked & I’de like to sing it with them but I can’t find it anywhere.

  7. Our kids love HV curriculum. Thanks for sharing. The Help series really spoke to me as well. Have you done anything with the “Amazing Race” theme? I think you could do a lot with that.

  8. Roller Coaster Life was amazing! The kids could actually summarize the ups and downs of Elijah’s life. The teachers were blessed by the material also! I love all High Voltage curriculum but believe that you all out did yourselves with this one!

  9. At Union Grove CH Church in Cleveland, GA, we absolutely love High Voltage Kids resources. Your materials make what we do so much easier for us and so much more fun for our kids! They love it!!

Thank you for continuing to share God’s gift with us!

  10. Hello,

I am the Director of Children’s Ministry at Willowbrook Church and I am currently looking for video curriculum for our Wednesday Night program next year. Is this a video curriculum with Small Group lessons as well?

    Thanks!
    Samantha

  11. Brian, I am looking for your “bugs” curriculum that was in a bundle with only 144.com a few months back. Is that still available from your ministry? I am interested in using it in the 2014-2015. Can you send me contact info on how to get it? Thanks
    Andi

  12. Hello,

I know that I have emailed you before! I am wondering if I could see some sample videos or lesson plans of your curriculum? I am looking for curriculum for our Wednesday Night Program here at Willowbrook Church and am interested in your program, but I would like to see some samples if at all possible.

    Thanks!
    Samantha

  13. Hi Brian. I’ve enjoyed reading your material, notes, blogs, etc. I believe you sent us the Roller Coaster Life series and I’m starting it this Sunday. I love it! I think there’s a video of someone riding a coaster that we show each Sunday. I can’t find it. I’ve found the P/P, the notes, other videos, verse, etc. but not that. Can you or someone on your team direct me?
    THANKS

  14. Thank you. There wasn’t anyone to minister to our kids so I stepped up. I have tried your curriculum and it is wonderful. We have seen the biggest change in the attitudes of our boys. They can’t wait until children’s church now. You are making a lasting impact on the Kingdom! Keep up the great work.

  15. We have been using your material for awhile and for the most part we like it but
I find many times I have to tell the children that is not a way to talk to each other.
I don’t want the kids going home and saying this is what I heard at children’s church. I also wonder why music does not have actions instead of words because many of the children don’t read yet. I also wish that you could have an option of playing all the songs instead of each time going back to menu. Right now we are on the one Behind the Lines and she said you are not as dumb as you look. We have kids that come from homes that hear that kind of talk and I feel church should be a safe place for them and a good learning experience. I do appreciate what you do and I know it is a hard job.

    • Thanks for the input. Not all the characters shown in the videos are “good” examples. Sometimes we use a bad example to point out the opposite of what needs to be done (without displaying sin of course). If youll notice, the one displaying the bad behavior is never the one who is teaching the Truth for the week. As far as actions for songs, we used to providr actions and we had a ton of people ask that we not put them on the videos. Actions are a funny and bery subjective thing. Some like them simple, and some like them complicated dance moves. We just decided it was best to allow the leaders themselves to create actions that fit with their culture.

  16. Our kids love all your curriculum! I have just a quick question. We have lost our data cd to Between the Lines we have everything else. I was wondering if there is anyway we can get just the lessons pdf file to print lessons without having to rebuy the whole set. Thanks for you time.

  17. Hey Brian, my name is Jeff, I am the children’s director here at Ringgold Church. We love High Voltage Curriculum. Have been using it for about two years.
Our kids love Skittles. How can I get an outfit for Skittles? They also like Mile Dud… but are more familiar with Skittles. Could you tell me where you purchased your costume? thanks Brian,
Keep up the Good work. We are into Joshua (Extreme Courage) great series. Blessings,

    Jeff

    • Hey Jeff. Well we developed Skittles a decade ago. Only “costume” is what you can get at any Halloween store or online costume shop. A brown Afro, bubba teeth (Uncle Cleetus version), and some sunglasses. That’s it!

  18. I love the High Voltage Curriculum. I just have one suggestion. Our church in California is very multicultural and it seems that the videos have predominately white people in them. I would love to see more nationalities represented. Keep up the great work!
    God Bless,

    • We wholeheartedly agree. Although we are intentional…and try hard on this…all of our actors are volunteers. Working on finding more ethnicities that are also willing to act and be on camera. Pray God helps us as we continue this endeavor!!

  19. I ordered a bundle of your curriculum that included Epic Fail. I’m not sure of date because I save it and use as needed. I am Childrens Director of Eastwood Baptust Church. I cannot access the videos with the link included. It may have been ordered with my church email children@ebcgatesville.org. Can you help me? We love your other curriculum that we have used. We are using Rock Solid as a basis for a VBS event

  20. Hi Brian,
I don’t know if you will remember or not, but at the Nashville CPC this year, you autographed a Skittles picture for a little girl in our Children’s church ministry who was battling brain cancer. Well, she went to be with Jesus last night. While in the process of helping the parents plan her memeorial service, the mom has requested our children’s church choir sing one of the songs off of the Skittles CD that we had given her when we gave her the picture. Mom said that CD was her favorite CD and they listened to it repeatedly. My question for you is: we have a very short time (tomorrow night during church) to teach the kids a song. AND I don’t think you have any accompaniment tracks for your songs, do you? Do you have any other ideas for us? I appreciate any help or suggestions you can give. and please know how much of impact you made on this 7 year old girl and her family! :)

      • Brian,
I’m sorry for the delay. Mom said she especially liked “where’s my peeps at?” but that she really liked another one too. Mom can only remember that it has the phrase “what the world needs” or something like that. I can try and look it up further if I need too. She said they would really like for the memorial to be a celebration of the 7 years of life that God granted her daughter. (Thus, the reason for this unconventional request!)
        Thanks Brian
        Jenny
